How much does a mechanic make?

I work in a shop with 3 people its a relatively busy shop, myself, the boss and another employee, i do all kimds of work from oil changes to pulling motors and more, im trying to figure out what the average hourly pay i should be getting is,

    I highly doubt any auto shop is going to pay an actual mechanic to change oil as one of their primary duties.

    Are you actually a certified mechanic?   I'm guessing not.

    It depends on your location. Mechanics make more in Los Angeles than in Boise, ID.

    If you're a laborer, and the boss does the diagnosing and deciding what has to be done, not a lot.  You'll get what he is planning to pay.
