Should i sell the things i used to call my hobby?
Ive always had a woodworking hobby and i have a lot of tools/machines that i hardly use or cant use for the most part, because where im living is too small and its not my house so i cant make the room or make a mess etc, my previous place i had somewhat of a workshop to use it all and make things, but that was years ago. im a builder/Joiner for my day to day work and i also have a van full of tools as well that i use every day. Im tied between selling the equipment i have in the Garage to make some extra money, or hanging on to it all for when i get my own place one day (some of the tools may come in handy with my job at some point), no doubt i will probably just buy most of the same stuff again one day when i have the space for it all. What would you recommend?
All great answers, thank you

If the tools are being stored safely, and you really don't need the money, why not keep them? If you sell all of them now, by the time you want to purchase them again they will probably have gone up in price, and that may deter you from buying them, and you will lose out on your hobby. As my mother would say~ they aren't eating anything, leave things be.

I agree with the other posts. You won’t get a good price for the tools and will have to pay more to replace them.
You may want to give a look at all of them and try to weed out some.
You have a good job. Work in your budget and make a goal of getting into your own place.

You’ll never get anywhere near what you paid for the tools if you sell them. Then you’ll end up having to spend the money all over again to replace them later. Don’t sell anything unless you really need the money, or you don’t think you’ll ever use it again. You’ll be glad you kept it all when you finally get your own place, and you have everything you need for your hobby.

The price of tools could be a lot higher in the future. You don't know what fate has in store for you. Hang on to the tools and save your money for a home someday. What was a hobby before may end up a career in your future. Good craftsmen are hard to find. You may end up with a country house with a nice barn. Don't do something you may end up sorry for. Now my advice would be different if your hobby was collecting salt shakers!
