Chicago proves gun control does not work. Change my mind?

The city with the strictest gun control laws in the country yet the highest violent crime rate and shootings in the country.

    Chicago's laws probably work well to disarm law-abiding citizens.

    Anyone can buy a gun outside the city limits.  So, without a workable state or national controls,  a city can only do so much.   

    Cities within States with tough controls ( NYC, Boston etc) have low homicide rates. )
