Eliza or Grace? I’ve liked the name Eliza for some time now because it is beautiful sounding and very elegant. I also like the meaning “my God is an Oath”. It is pronounced with a soft “E” so Eh-ly-za. From first glance how would you pronounce it? I also love the name Grace because it is also beautiful and elegant and the meaning is powerful. It means having favor from God. Which do you like more?

I prefer Eliza pronounced as you have it. It's gained in popularity in recent years and is almost as popular now as it was in the late 1800s.

Eliza is a lovely, classic, old fashioned name.  I think it's pretty.  Grace grates.  It's hard to live up to and it is over used and boring.
