I am currently learning about DID and I understand switching is when the alters change but what causes switching? Someone who has multiple personalities how do the other personalities know when to appear? 

If an alter is troublesome and does something bad will the individual know after switching? Or does the memory switches too?

I understand that events can trigger switching but can emotions? Like if an individual is extremely jealous can that bring on an alter? 

Can an alter stay a really long time (without switching). If an individual gets triggered can a specific alter take over them for a long time?

Please excuse my ignorance, I’m only trying to understand this disorder. Thanks in advance.  

How do you respond when nosy people ask how much you bought something that is very nice and expensive.  Do you tell them the price or are you humble and answer in a subtle way? If so how do you do it. 

I have a growing business that I managed to make a good living from. To give back I decided to befriend someone who has a very small business. I shared my platform with them yet their business hardly grew. This friend then told me she had financial issues and could hardly sustain her family so I donated something small for the children. She then comes back and says her home will be foreclosed because she owes $1,400 mortgage. I advised her to get a job and not rely solely on her small business and she said she had health issues. I gave her words of encouragement and told her I would pray for her. 

My intuition told me she was lying so I did research. She made a gofundme posing with her children, asking her very small customers to donate. And asked me to share it on my large platform which I refused to put such burden on my supporters when they too are living in a pandemic. A few days later she comes to me hysterically that one of her customers wished bad on her and her children and said they hoped her home got foreclosed. She was pretending to cry but I saw no tears. I spoke to my sister about her and my sister said in Texas foreclosures have been paused so she’s most likely lying. And she was indeed! I’m so disgusted by her and the extent she has gone to scam me and others. 

She doesn’t know that I know she’s lying. She tried to contact me today but I haven’t respond.How should I go about this?She’s such a pathological liar I don’t want her to come after me for catching her

I’m loving the name Eliza. How do you picture someone with this name. 

How do you know when to help ppl who actually need help vs those who want to just live off you. I have a big YouTube channel and I made friends with a smaller YouTube channel. I liked them as a friend so I shared their YouTube channel with my subscribers which brought their subscribers to 1k. I even donate to their channel once in a while as this friend offers “advice sessions”. This friend has confided in me multiple times about how she’s unable to pay her $1,400 mortgage, doesn’t have money to buy her children Christmas presents and her home will foreclose soon. I gave $100 to her for her children gifts. She then comes back and tells me the same sorrowful story so I offer her prayers and advised her to get an actual job instead of relying on her very small YouTube channel for income. She tells me she’s on disability (metal plates were put in her back due to surgery and her diabetes effects her foot) although she looks physically fine to the eyes I will not dismiss her disability. She comes back and asks me to share her go fund me page on my YouTube channel of 50k+ subscribers and says if I can’t she will understand. I don’t reply but give her words of encouragement. Since then she refuses to respond to me. I have been taken advantage of & used for my platform in the past so I’m very cautious. I feel I did enough by sharing her channel with my subscribers, and doing small donations but I cannot ask my subscribers to donate, it’s unprofessional and not fair to them.Thoughts?

What do you think about the name Eliza? Pronounced “Eh-ly-za”? It isn’t very common nowadays and is a derivative of the name Elizabeth. Does it sound like an old name or no? How do you imagine someone with this name? 

Eliza or Grace? I’ve liked the name Eliza for some time now because it is beautiful sounding and very elegant. I also like the meaning “my God is an Oath”. It is pronounced with a soft “E” so Eh-ly-za. From first glance how would you pronounce it? I also love the name Grace because it is also beautiful and elegant and the meaning is powerful. It means having favor from God. Which do you like more?

I bought a 2019 mazda that did not come with navigation. Where can I buy an authentic and up to date navigation SD card? I can’t tell if the ones on eBay and Amazon are authentic. Thanks! 

I have a co-worker who’s going through hell right now because a relative of his got jealous that he got a good job opportunity. His relative emailed the higher ups at his job with false claims about him. Thankfully his management team were loyal and forwarded the emails to him. It had very petty information about him like how he’s incompetent of his job because he cheated in class when he was in school, and even false claims about his personal life. It was clear that his relative was jealous and spiteful so he didn’t lose his job. But his situation makes me cautious of telling ppl where I work specifically because I too have a lot of jealous and hateful relatives. My question to you is, are you comfortable with telling ppl where you work specifically (name of company) if they ask? 

I would like to design my website in a way that customers can purchase a video and view it right after their purchase. I was told I would need a html code for this but where can I purchase this specific code? Is there a name for this specific code that I need? Plz help 

I was unable to set up utilities in my apartment unit because according to my electrical company and the city, the apartment did not have a permit. After speaking with a city official I was told that the apt does not have a permit from the city. I spoke to apt management and they denied it and said they would speak with the city and assured me that everything was ok. After almost a month I found out again that electricity was not being provided by the electrical company. I was receiving electricity so I’m confused as to how that’s possible. Unless the apt did some foul play. 

I spoke with multiple city officials who confirmed the city did not permit the apt and I will not be able to set up utilities under my name until a permit is provided. When I spoke with my states electricity provider they confirmed that the city indeed needs permission from the apt to inspect and provide them a permit. I was also told that the meter number provided by the apt was incorrect and popped up for a different address that is not my unit. My apt unwillingness to contact the city makes it seem like foul play from their end was done. 

I ended up breaking my lease due to many more chaotic situations that I endured from my apt. They billed me $13k due to breaking my lease. Once I threatened to sue them for renting me an apt that was not permitted they dropped the case and refused to state why. 

I was told by my electric utility company as well as the city that I reside, that they needed a permit from my apartment leasing office and until then no electricity can be provided to my unit. I even spoke to several city officials who confirmed that my apartment (which is newly built) had not provided the city with a permit. I told my leasing agent about this as well as management and they lied that a permit was given because they’re receiving electricity. My unit received electricity but it was not from my utility company. The city and my utility company confirmed that no electricity could be sent to my unit since the city didn’t get a permit from the apartment. The question is how in the world was I receiving electricity? Unless the apartment were doing foul play and supplying my unit with their own electricity. Considering I never received any electricity bill. 

I spoke to another official who concluded that perhaps the apartment provided the city with the wrong meter number of my specific unit because the meter number that they provided to the city is for a Completely different address. After speaking to my apt manager about this a million times they ignored me and refused to call the city. I ended up breaking my lease due to unprofessional management who treated me like I was not a priority. They tried to bill me $13k but dropped the bill after I brought up the permit situation. I asked what was the reason for them dropping the bill and they refused to respond. 

I recently moved into a new apartment that I’m in love with except it is right near the street. My neighborhood is quiet but the sound of cars driving by can be heard in my apartment. My apartment is on the 3rd floor but the sound can be heard so clearly. Leasing office says once I put furniture the noise shouldn’t be as evident but I don’t know if it will help. Anyone who has experienced this? 

There is a $17,976 And 2019 car that I’m interested in getting. After fees like title and registration total goes to $19,396.42. IF I were to make a down payment of $5,000 my monthly would be $230 lowest for 72 months! (Doesn’t sound fair to me). 

If I were to make a 10% ($1,800) down payment my monthly would be $275 for 72 months. APR will be 3.9%. 

For those of you who are experienced buyers and good with numbers please tell me your input. I’m young and inexperienced but want to learn so I won’t get scammed haha. Salesman said if I go with the last option I can always pay more a month (if I want to) which will pay off the car faster and decrease the 72 months lease term. 

I’m interested in the Hyundai Elantra or Kona. They fit my budget but I haven’t heard much about Hyundai’s. I know typically Toyota and Nissan are reliable cars but most are slightly above my budget or CVT transmission which I heard weren’t good. 

As a young child I have traumatic memories of my father mistreating me. It was so bad that at the age of 8 I asked my mom if he was my real father (he is, we look too much alike). My mother always over compensated me with love due to this but I endured a lot of verbal assault from my father since my mom worked often. There would be times where I would do absolutely nothing yet still get lied on, blamed, criticized for minor mistakes that a young child would make. I watched my siblings misbehave to the far extreme and my father never punished them nor corrected them. One example was when my older sister was suppose to pick me up from a school program. She went shopping instead, letting me walk home at midnight at the age of 15. When I told my parents about it, I was silenced and told I was wrong for expressing anger and my sister was set free without apologizing. As I got older things only got worse. He once physically tackled me to the ground and swung at me after he heard my sisters arguing and thought it was me. I am now a  senior medical science student accomplishing so much. I got an excellent paying job and did not tell my parents. Recently when he tried to threaten me I had enough and started looking for a new home. My mom tried to stop me. She thinks I’ve let it go like how I always do but I haven’t. I will be moving next week. I want to just pack up and leave without telling them to avoid chaos although I know it’s not the best thing to do. Advice? 

I’m interested in buying a used 2019 Nissan kicks from a dealership but after test driving it from two dealerships, I noticed this annoying “groan” noise that it makes when you release the breaks. I was told that it was due to it being unused for a long time but once it is used frequently the sound should go away. Dealerships are not widely known to be honest so I’m not sure if I should believe that. Both cars were fairly new (although used). Both were 2019 and had a mileage of 20,000. 

I’m turning 23 next month and I can’t decide what to do. I usually have a birthday dinner but I want to change things up. I want to spend my bday with close friends so it won’t be too big. Any affordable ideas? 

I have a car that’s more than 10 years old. I was told by a friend of mine that it’s best to not get an oil change at a popular car place because they use old oil to change your car oil. For years I would buy my own oil from the store and take it to a mechanic to change it for me. But it just seems easier to take it to a shop like pep boys to get it changed.
