    centripetal acceleration

    a = v² / r = r ω ²

    Angular velocity

    ω = 2π/T

    where T is a period for one circle

    For Earth

    T = 365.25 days = 365.25 * 86400s = 3.156×10⁷ s

    ω = 2π / 3.156×10⁷ = 1.991×10⁻⁷ rad/s

    a = 1.5×10¹¹ * (1.991×10⁻⁷)² = 5.95×10⁻³ m/s²

    a = v^2/r = (2pi*r/T)^2/r

    = 4*pi^2*r/(1 year)^2

    = 4*pi^2*(1.5 x 10^11 m)/(86400 s)^2

    = 793 m/s^2.
