What do you think of the Zodiac killer's 340 cipher being cracked (51 years after it was sent to SF Chronicle)?

51 years  just for that gibberish?  what a let down.

I've read a few alleged decryptions over the years.  They mostly all have the same vein.  My opinion is:So what?  After all this time, the perpetrator is almost surely dead.  Just as if they categorically proved who was "Jack the Ripper" now, it would have little meaning.  Clearly, anyone who kills others is f-ed in the head anyway.  You can't expect anything they do or say to make sense or be profound.  They're just human garbage.  

too bad they still didn't find the guy. but this is progress maybe still hope.

Others claimed to have cracked it in the past, but apparently the FBI thinks these people are on to something. The content isn't shocking considering the source.

I personally think the last lines actually read "I know that my new life is paradise. Life will be an easy one in death.", but cool that they cracked it.
