Is it true white people did not let blacks learn to swim in the UK?

I heard they threw them into the water and made them swim 

If it is cruel and against blacks, just assume it is true. They have been treated in the most disgusting ways and not learning to swim is minor on the scale of other things they prevented them from doing. 

I don't know about the UK, but I do know that in the USA black people were not allowed to swim in public pools during the Jim Crow era. The town I live in has one of the few parks with a pool that was specifically designated for black people to use during segregation. 

No. Blacks have more muscle mass than whites and don't float as well because of the smaller fat content in their bodies. There is a legitimate positive reason blacks don't swim very well and it has nothing to do with racism but genetics

No I played with black kids in a pool as a kid . Look at the USA though ,especially in a film called Crazy In Alabama the black boys were kicked out of the public swimming pool .
