What are the factors that the NFL uses to break ties for the playoffs?

Suppose, for example, the Bears and the Lions each wind up at 8-8 and are tied for a wid card spot. They've already split the season series, so what tiebreakers follow that?

    Best winning percentage in division games would be the next tie breaker in this case.
