Stop payment issued ?

Update on a previous question. My 13 year old nephew withdraw 5k overdrawing my account. Anyway I called the bank and they put a stop payment on the charges reversing them after explaining the situation. I clearly started I had no way of proving it was my nephew. What’s going to happen next ?

Update:

Sorry to be clear he used a online casino app on my phone with my back account linked

you can put a stop on it if money is still there , if you nephew has taken it out and left no money in his account then bad luck , they cant get it back ..how did a 13 y/o get your number in the first  place !!!

Bank of America did not stop payment the money.

They are attempting to reverse the charges.  I doubt they will be successful with that.

Why aren't his parents paying you back?

Nothing will happen, the bank is not interested who did it, it's up to you to chastise your nephew.

You have posted this question about 5 times in the last few hours.  This is a violation of Yahoo Answers rules - and if I see another posting like this, you will be reported and removed from Yahoo Answers.

But in the unlikely event that this is a legitimate question, I have no clear answer on what might happen next.

How could this happen?  I don't know...

A 13 year old is a minor and is not allowed to make a bank transaction.  Also, somebody at the bank should have stopped and investigated this if this kid went to a teller: clearly he is not allowed to withdraw money. If the bank goofed, they have to indemnify you and go after the kid for the money.  He needs some tough love here: you and/or the bank needs to take legal action against him.

Also, how could you have been stupid enough to allow him access to your bank account or credit card information?
