Witch/which bible do U use?

A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

Proverbs 14;25King James Version (KJV)

Update:

What does God's word do for  you...IF it does what God's wants it to.. then that's exactly what the Holy Spirit wrote the KJ Bible for!

I use the New American version, one of the most accurate yet easy to read translations available. I avoid the King James because it is the poorest translation available today. Not only is it written in Old English, it also has several thousand translational errors. The translators appointed by King James were simply not expert in the ancient languages, and it shows, on almost every page. Many of the errors are minor - verb tenses, singular vs. plural, and so on. But some of them are ridiculous. For example, the KJV is the only version ever made that mentions unicorns. They translated the Greek term for "horned beasts" as "unicorns" instead of the correct translation found in every other version of the Bible - "bulls" or "cattle".

KJV mostly but I don't claim that the KJV is totally perfect because that would lead to a number of problems. For instance, if the KJV is totally perfect, then why did the 1611 edition contain the apocryphal books? Also, why were italicized words added? Do these italicized words constitute new revelation from God? Also, did NO ONE have an accurate copy of the Scriptures before 1611? Moreover, why is the KJV that we use today not even the 1611 edition? Hard-core KJV supporters obviously can never answer these questions. Their arguments always break down.

I use multiple versions, but my go-to is a New American Standard study Bible.

You do realize the bible was not written in English, but rather Hebrew and Greek. The KJV is just a translation, a very good one except for its archaic language  which is why I read the NKJV

"U"?  What, Universities?  That'll depend entirely on which denomination it follows or which version of the Bible a given professor wants to use for class (in religious studies or whatever).

In any case, there is no One True Bible.  They all have their ups and downs.  The KJV is a good de facto standard - just be aware it contains a lot of translation errors.

I have looked at several Bibles.  And several books that did not make the cut.   Seems the question is whether you believe that the earlier versions are closer to the truth, or whether the latest versions are based on better understanding, and are closer to the truth.

There are many problems understanding English of a couple hundred years ago, much less translations.

I do not literally believe the Bible in any version.

Are you a King James only Christian? Because they are so rare these days.
