What are the fines for driving with illegal tyres? ?

In the U.K. you can get fined up to £2500 per tyre although I’ve never heard of anyone being fined that much. However you also get 3 points per tyre which could see you instantly banned for 4 bad tyres. Again never heard of this happening, normally 3 or 6 points us usual.

That would depend on which jurisdiction you are in.

If a person is stopped for unsafe tires and there has not been an accident, often no fine at all, just a fix it ticket.
All of this changes with an accident and more so if there was an injury. Worst case is to be in an accident that causes death. If this happens a fine is the least of the drivers troubles.
Also it depends on the circumstances, a fix it ticket can be come something even worse if the driver is DWI and has kids in the car. Then it can become wanton endangerment.
