Do you think Randy Orton get the credit he deserves?

Put it this way, Orton has been one of the stand outs in the Covid era of WWE. And when people speak of "all time greats" and "mount rushmores of WWE" his name seems to be forgotten. It may be because Orton is the only full time star left from a completely different era of wrestling, and when he retires it may become more recognised. He hasn't ran off to Hollywood or left for other company's for the near 20 years he has been there.

You think of Brock Lesnar who barely shows up,

Or Cena who claims he loves WWE but did just what The Rock did and left for movies. Or stars with limited dates and schedules.

I honestly just think that Randy, even though he doesn't say it.. SHOWS that he loves the business. Covid19 has hit and he is one of the few still giving it his all.

He absolutely gets the credit he deserves. He got the huge contract after coming of a massive 10 year deal. Hes won 12 world titles or more not counting tag and ic/us. Thats more than the undertaker who also stuck around throughout his career. Its close to hhh.  Aew was offering a very good contract because they know how valuable he is and what that signing would have done. And he could have more if it weren't for backstage issues over his career that caused wwe to sideline him.

Wwes problem is that they've acquired too much talent in fear of other companies acquiring them. It effects how much they can use a guy. Theres only so many belts and prominent spots to go around. Orton could have sent shock waves through wrestling if he had gone to aew. But he stayed loyal and this push he's had this year is a direct result of his loyalty and not signing with aew. Hell, it was probably in his new contract to have a title run.

Orton has a rocky road when it comes to his 'love' for wrestling.  If he's not being used the way he wants to be used he tends to half-ass it, but even then he's by no means 'bad'.

While I think fans acknowledge and appreciate when Orton starts acting motivated in the ring, I do believe his legacy will be that of being the last major draw in WWE alongside Cena.  Certainly that will become clearer to others once Orton finally steps away from the ring long enough for them to acknowledge his contributions.  Hopefully he gets to do so on his own terms.

I think he does. Randy's longevity should get more praise but i don't consider him one of the all time greats. He's similar to Ted Dibiase IMO. Really good worker but never took that step up. He's not a 10 at anything. Cena was a phenomenal draw who carried the company, the rock is the best ever on the mic, brock is the best overall athlete.. Orton was never phenomenal at anything, just very good at everything. And its harsh but that don't put you in the conversation for best ever or an all time great.

He’ll be in the wwe hall of fame some day

  • WWE Fans have always taken Randy Orton for granted and he has been there for 18 Years. Yes, he has his faults, he has played Back Stage Politics, but I can point to a number of other Wrestlers in The WWE over the last 50 Years who have done the same. He is reliable as you know what type of match you will get from him, what signature moves. When he has been given major pushes as a Top Heel he has been gold over the years. The Man you love to cheer. The Man you love to jeer. That is Randy Orton.
