what was this old soap opera called?
it was in the 80's or 90's and it was on nbc. i think it was only a half hour but i'm not sure. anyway it started out like any other soap then it branched into some supernatural stuff, like there was a puppet (or doll) boy that was alive, i think there was a witch and some girl who split herself in 2, a good half and a bad half. maybe a vampire too?

I think you are talking about Passions. It was occasionally bonkers. The witch and the doll who came to life was probably the least bonkers part of the show. It replaced Another World and followed Days of Out Lives on NBC.

It was Passions. Even dumber than a regular soap, and I don't think it really lasted all that long. Maybe a season or two, but I think that was about it.
