What are the long term effects of sleep aids?
So I've been taking sleep aids for the past like year and a half and my friend told me I should stop taking them for awhile because it could be bad in the long run. So it's kinda got me curious and a little worried, is there any long term affects of sleep aids? By sleep aids I mean Aleve PM, and would it be better to take melatonin instead?

The down side is that your body will be dependent on the sleep aids. Your brain is smart and will detect the outside melatonin and therefore stop making its own melatonin in attempts to save energy and resources.

Aleve PM is a NSAID, it would be best to check with your doctor about your long term use.
