Cops, do you think 6 months of training is a sufficient amount of time to be qualified as an officer of the law?  ?

It is 6 months more training than you have, and that is the bare minimum to become an officer.  Much more training is required on an ongoing basis.

Do you really think 6 months of training is all a cop anywhere gets?

Six months is usually the basic police academy, followed by at least one year of training on the job, followed by mandatory minimum continued education.  And that's not to move up through the ranks, that's just to keep the badge.

Six months is only the Police academy. You still have to complete a full year of on the job training with a Field Training Officer.

Police Academy is 6 months. That might be enough in some places. Most will want a college degree & favor those that have been in the military.

I am not a cop but two months qualifies you to be a soldier.

How long do you think it should take and what extra training would you add that would make the extra training worth the time?
