short cirsuit on a TV power board?
I accidentally shorted the positive terminal to one of the ground terminals on the power board while measuring the input voltage to the main board on a Philips TV set. After that, whenever I power it up without the main board connected i get 3.36V at the input but when i disconnect from power, connect the main board and power the TV up again, the voltage drops to 0.05V. I know some component on the power board has died but which one? Everything is visually intact, any ideas? I can apply photos of the main and power boards if necessary. Thank you

If you can't figure it out,
you should never have tried to work on it in the first place.
Either get a copy of the service manual and do some more probing
or, better, put it back together and take it to a TV repair shop.
Telling a tech that you messed with it yourself might Not be a good idea...
