How certain will travel be in the spring of 2021?

I originally had travel plans to go from TX to AZ last May (2020), but those plans were cancelled.  Then I was set to go in October, but the airline was in trouble and was furloughing many people.  Now I'm scheduled to go in April.  The airline has changed my flight date, flight number and time of the flight four times since November.  They're telling me I will have 14 days to let them know if their latest arrangement doesn't suit me.  I have been talking to people in AZ, and the state is pretty well shut down.  Also, I don't know what the status of the airline will be by then.  I guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and see, but if COVID doesn't let up by then, I'm, afraid the trip will be cancelled for good.

Spring of 2021 should be much better than 2020.

The vaccine is already rolling out and airline capacity is already ramping up albeit slowly.

Barring any other extenuating circumstance, your travel plans I think is certain for 2021.

You're in exactly the same position as millions of other would-be travellers. I've had to postpone a trip to Europe twice already and am fully resigned to possibly having to postpone it once more if we can't travel freely by May.

Nobody here can tell you anything you don't already know.

There are plenty of airlines that fly between Texas and Arizona every day.

Southwest and American have flights all day long between Dallas & Phoenix and United between Houston & Phoenix.

I understand that Dallas is not the only city in Texas nor is Phoenix the only city in Arizona... but if you want to fly between the 2 states, it's pretty darn easy.

Let's pretend ALL PLANES can never ever ever fly between TX & AZ again... it's still pretty darn easy to get between the two states.

I have no clue what your issue is.

It's not certain at all at this point. It will take until past spring to have enough vaccinations in place to make a difference.

Domestic travel should be fine however keep an eye out for changes in travel restrictions. International travel is still going to be iffy and I'd avoid it unless it was an family emergency

I guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and see,

At this time a prediction more than two weeks ahead is just a guess. Some guess better than others.

But if COVID......  you will know by mid March.
