Are the Real Estate agents allowed to charge 8 weeks' bond?
I am going to rent a unit in Melbourne CBD. The rent is $ 200 p.w, plus $ 1,550 bond which is almostΒ 8 weeks' bond. Location; VIC, Australia.

From what research I have done, yes they can charge high security deposits.... like any offer you can say no... move on and find somewhere else to rent
