I would have enjoyed the chariot races. They also filled the coliseum w/ water and held mock sea battles.

well, just this week,  they announced yet more incredible discoveries from Pompeii.    For all that they have unearthed,  there is still , to this day,  vast areas still buried........and who knows what discoveries still to be found.

Of course,  Pompeii is actually down near Naples... south of Rome.

That God needed an Army and choose Rome's Army to bring about the death of his only begotten son for our Salvation.....God is more involved in this world then you think....He use 9/11 to get  USA's army to go into the same region....What got me a neighbor Bonnie came knocking at my door and brought me a song, she said while she was crying for those killed.....she heard Angels singing and wrote the song down and was told bring it me and i would know what to do with the song....The words of first stanza said, "God needed and Army" but as I read the song it said everyone that died in this act, he gave eternal life too.....i sent it to New York's News Paper and never heard back but the last words of the song said, "America, America do not fear for as we stand together know our Father is always near" and i wonder if the song is what started the movement "United we stand" out of New York City...
