Weight loss Fact or Myth?

Is it true that a person can eat whatever the hell they want when trying to obtain a healthy weight so long as they burn what they eat through exercise

Basically, it's true that as long as there is a calorie deficit (a person doesn't consume more calories than their body uses) they can lose weight. Exercise is not required, as the body burns calories 24 hrs/day, even at rest.

However, naturally eating healthy (at least most of the time) will promote better health. Someone can be an appropriate weight for their height, but have (or be developing) various health issues due to a nutritionally deficient diet. As for exercise, it's a part of good general health, and while it does help burn additional calories (allowing people to be able to consume a higher # of calories without gaining fat), people are able to lose fat without exercising (which is great, as some people have issues that don't allow them to do much or any actual "exercise").

Obviously, its true but the problem is it's very easy to eat 500 calories and not that easy to burn it off.
