Christians, being with Christ does that mean you are excused from following the moral rules given in scripture? ?

AFTER these things God said unto Adam, "Thou didst ask of Me something from the garden, to be comforted therewith, and I have given thee these three tokens as a consolation to thee; that thou trust in Me and in My covenant with thee.

2 "For I will come and save thee; and kings shall bring me when in the flesh, gold, incense and myrrh; gold as a token of My kingdom; incense as a token of My divinity; and myrrh as a token of My suffering and of My death.

3 "But, O Adam, put these by thee in the cave; the gold that it may shed light over thee by night; the incense, that thou smell its sweet savour; and the myrrh, to comfort thee in thy sorrow."

Source(s): So, in Orthodox Church you have one cup and one spoon for body and blood of Jesus; no one gets sick. Roman Catholics tried one cup one spoon ritual and got sick with Bubonic plague; if heresy enters Orthodox monastery, then its inhabitants will get sick too. COVID measures (closure, disposable cups, disposable spoons, washing spoon in some liquid after each use, masks, etc.) = heresy. Orthodox churches who participated in COVID measures = no longer pure brides of Christ = now they serve Satan; Patriarch Irenaios 1st blessed Catacomb movement more than five years ago; what you need is antimins (remains of saints sewn into a towel), wax candles, one cup and one spoon; forgive me.

Duh.   Christ's words are also in Scripture.

  • To be with Christ Jesus, means to observe all that is, in the Holy Bible, without exclusion of any law of God!

They certainly appear to think so.  They behave as if they think the moral rules in scripture are nice goals to strive for but certainly not anything one needs to do, and if you ignore them no one will be terribly surprised.

No it certainly does not mean that.  We, as Christians, are to follow ALL of God's rules given in Scripture.  Some of man's laws can be broken but ONLY if they class with God's laws.  When there is a clash between God's laws and man's laws Christians must follow God's laws.

One day Britain could become a communist country and we might be banned from having bibles and attending churches.  We could end up 'going underground' and worshipping secretly and, if found, we'd be punished for doing so.

God teaches his righteousness, not mere morality. And his purpose is to spiritually regenerate us one by one back into his image as Adam was before he sinned. Christ is the image of God and Christian means Christlike.

    Glad to help

NO!  It is far more important for Christians to be seen to be following the moral rules shown in scripture.

The only rules that we would be allowed to break would be those made by man and which clash with the rules made by God.  One example would be to worship God when living in a country that banned all religion.  Those people go 'underground' and worship secretly and, sometimes, end up being imprisoned and, in some countries tortured and then killed.

The law was only for Israel, and only during that time.  Nobody is to be under the law today.  Everybody is to be under grace.  And by grace, you are to choose to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ means being saved.  And believing in the Lord Jesus Christ also means having the Holy Ghost in your life, who will lead you to better than the law could ever do, since we are sinners that can't keep the law.  The believer still has to yield to the leading of the Holy Ghost.  But the one who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, is saved permanently, regardless of anything else.  Nobody can be good enough to avoid hell.  So to avoid hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is that easy.  When a person dies, they will be in heaven or hell, and they can't get out of hell if that is where they go.  To go to heaven and not go to hell, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, without adding any of your works.  Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God and who died on the cross and shed His blood to pay for all our sins, and who resurrected from the dead.  See Romans 4:5 and 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.
