2004 Cadillac awd srx transmission issue?

The vehicle only goes forward when in gear. It doesn’t go in reverse. It doesn’t even push backwards when turned off in neutral. I don’t know if it’s possible that low transmission fluid would stop a car from rolling backwards in neutral. I’m not familiar with awd vehicles and I’m just asking for a hand in solving the issue Of why the car isn’t going in reverse In gear and in neutral

    Pull the OBD2 trouble codes. Look up their definitions. The car itself can tell you more than we can.

    Time for a rebuilt transmission!

    No reverse and AWD.......take it to the dealer - and about $6000.
