Why some people don't like cilantro?

I heard some people don't like cilantro but they taste like soap? Is that true or like is it something else?

Cilantro which kind of looks like celery leaves does taste like soap. But on tacos it seems to enhance the flavor of the tacos

Cilantro has to be somewhat fresh and washed and dried correctly or it does taste kind of like soap. Usually cilantro at restaurants tastes better than the cilantro I buy at the store and prepare at home.

    🥴 Its a strong ingredient.

I love it. And onions. And garlic.

Many dont like those either. My mothers taste started to go bland too.

It tastes like soap to some people - and I am one of them. I can't eat anything with cilantro in it because it tastes so horrible to me.
