I have a court hearing but why can’t I move it up a earlier date?

Can you move court hearings up or only push them back

Most hearings take time to prepare, so they are scheduled weeks or months in advance. The schedule can fill up pretty fast.

This is not unusual. Try calling your dentist, you will have the same issue.

    Because the docket is full.

It is likely the court doesn't have room on the schedule to move up the hearing, but you can contact the court clerk and ask.

It depends on the Court, but calendars are set very far in advance.

You can't move court hearings at all.  Government isn't user friendly and they don't get bonus points for good customer service.  So you just have to take what you get.

If you have some kind of emergency, you might be able to move the court date.
