Hotel housekeeping during covid ?

I was recently put up in a hotel by my employer and was told to check out early because I “damaged the room”, which to my knowledge I did not do. The only possible thing I could see them considering “damage to the room”, was that I accidentally left a skid mark on the bedspread and sheets.

I heard speculation that in the era of covid that they would have to destroy or get rid of the sheets / bedspread for that.

As a result of the “damage to the hotel room”, my job is likely in jeopardy..

They would have to destroy the linen, because that kind of damage is very difficult to wash out. However, in most hotels, they are not providing housekeeping services during your stay to reduce the chance of staff exposure, so it's unlikely that anyone entered your room.

Use common sense here don't self-incriminate yourself!

If you soiled the towels or the bedding you say heck no that was here and I just didn't see it! You had me sleeping in somebody else's filth? I thought you were supposed to have changed the bedding?

Let me get into contact with a lawyer. I'll bet you they're two and very quickly changes if you use your mouth correctly.

Don't go making statements like you just made here in public it's self-incriminates you.
