Of course not. If it did, those thousands who were outside would have joined in. Instead they were upset with the ones who did do it.

And I still want to know who the people were who, so many witnesses said, showed up in buses and instigated it. Different people at different times made the same claim.

I don’t believe all trump supporters would riot for him, or even agree with the riot (I don’t think it’s a riot, it was a more organized effort, so I’m calling it insurrection and domestic terrorism), but the fact that they still support him basically means that inciting insurrection is not a deal breaker for them. It’s one thing to support a person in spite of some small indiscretion. For instance, I didn’t think Clinton deserved to be impeached. His minor indiscretion was not a deal breaker for me. But to be fair, Clinton got impeached for a BJ. It was a private act between consenting adults, and took place behind closed doors. Trump incited a riot and insurrection. There were 5 people killed that day, congressmen terrorized and forced to barricade themselves in offices, and the Capitol building completely trashed. Anyone who still supports trump after that is sending the message that this type of behavior is acceptable, or at least tolerable. I don’t think this kind of behavior should be overlooked or tolerated. It seems like some of these trump supporters are so infatuated by him that they would defend him for ANYTHING. I wonder if they would defend him if he were to rape their daughters or something? Nobody should have that kind of unconditional blind loyalty to anyone, except their own kids
