To be Jealous or not to be jealous?

I'm trying not to be jealous and I am normally not a jealous hearted person. But sometimes its hard and I can't help it. For example when I go hang out with a couple of my friends they seem to always get complements about how pretty they are. It makes me feel unattractive and I hate feeling that way.

Your feelings are whatever they may be, you can only control how you deal with them.  If you allow something like this to make you feel unattractive, your issue is not with jealousy as much as self esteem. As for looks, one can always do something to improve them, so take inventory regarding your appearance: hairstyle, neatness, choice of clothes, good grooming, use of makeup, jewelry, or whatever your preferences may be, even the choice of a preferred color may have an impact.  But its inside that counts for so much, too: what are you feeling about your self and what needs improving? Good wishes,

"Let it be!" Just know that your time will come to receive compliments.  You can't get blood out of a stone, meaning you can't drag compliments out of cold hearted people.  You are the warm hearted one,  so you give out the love, and when you do receive the compliments, it won't matter much, as you will be too busy doing good.  Focus on the the good you can release into your small group, or elsewhere, and you will find that the comfort and respect and love you long for will come from other places and people.
