I am supposed to visit Washington, DC this weekend. Is it safe to ?

I will be walking around the monuments but not go near the US Capital. I am not staying for the Inauguration on Wednesday, just there Saturday and early Sunday with my son aged 12. We are at a funeral in Richmond, VA Friday (tomorrow) and going through DC on the way home to Connecticut.

Except for the false flag operation that was the break in of the capitol building there was no violence in Washington DC on January 6th.  It is democrats you have to worry about.
