Will a hdmi adapter work on a 4k screen?

So, when people sign up for food, gov't clerk presses secret button to administer the unforgivable mark of the beast. Hide within 10-15 people group (saints Gabriel Urgebadze and Serafim of Sarov); no documents; no electronics.

Get a better TV. 

The fact that your TV has 4K capability is irrelevant. If the HDMI input is not 4K, and the vast majority will not be, then the TV will just display the lower resolution.

The AV input selector on your TV should allow you to select the specific HDMI input socket you have used to connect your Wii. If the TV is still not acknowledging any input on that socket then you may have a faulty Wii to HDMI adapter. 

The other possibility is if your TV allows you to force it into 4K mode so that it will upscale regular HD to mimic 4K. If so, turn off that feature: there is no way your TV will be able to resample the low-resolution Wii output to simulate 4K.

The next most likely possibility is that your Wii to HDMI adapter is faulty. Not at all uncommon; most are sold at such ridiculously cheap prices that they sell for prices which are far lower than the regular postage charges from China. Which means the adapter was built for mere pennies.

If your adapter also has the three RGB connectors and if your TV accepts RGB inputs, then try those instead. If they also don’t work after you have selected them on the TV as an input then your Wii to HDMI converter is definitely not working, OR the Wii console itself is faulty (they certainly weren’t built to last, and many now need their internal capacitors replaced).
