Inquiry ceases to be scientific when it loses its objectivity and is biased by politics.

Politics has absolutely no business being anywhere near science. Case in point~ the total t*ts-up politicians have made of the covid crisis.

Science is the process of determining the truth about things. Politics is just the opposite.  They have very little to do with each other.

Politicians need to respect scientific conclusions. Scientists need to realize that some scientific conclusions threaten the status quo. But scientists tend to stay out of politics. They simply publish their research in journals. The media scans the journals for the latest findings. Then they become sensationalized and distorted.

Clearly, politics should be guided by science. The problem is that some people put money before human survival.
