What does "Nobody comes to Me expect the Father draws him" (John 6:44) mean since the Father and the Son are One (John 17:20-23)?

Update:

"Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known (((CHRIST))) after the (((FLESH,))) yet now henceforth know we Him (((NO MORE"))) (II Corinthians 5:16).

The Father is not the Son, and the Son is definitely not the Father.  According to Paul, the only God for us in this universe is the Father, and there is only one Lord (not God), Jesus Christ, for us.

Many (all) are called, but few are chosen (cooperate).  God urges us to know Christ for ourselves.  Not everybody heeds the call.

The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one, in the sense that each of them is God. However, at the same time, each of them is a separate and distinct divine Person. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God. But the Father is not the Son or the Holy Spirit. The Son is not the Father or the Holy Spirit. Which is why Jesus always referred to either the Father or the Holy Spirit as "He", indicating another Person who is not Himself.

The father is word the son is the image of the word . The apple and the word apple are two but one for both are apple in word even tho one is solid the other invisible. The sight of the apple brings me to the word apple.

    My take on that is:

Jesus is speaking to the Jews, therefore he is on earth. God in heaven would draw the Jew, to Jesus. Who then would raise them up on the last day.

God calls us, and through Jesus we are saved, because through believing in Jesus is how we come to God. They are one, but Jesus is our mediator, God is the Father.

I hope that makes some sense.

Jesus never referred to an equality of godship, only to a oneness of purpose and action.

It means that God is an artist ...and nobody comes to Jesus unless the Father has drawn them and then shows Jesus their picture...

It is an attempt by the  ENEMIES of an ALL-Knowing and ALL-Powerful GOD to imply that this GOD is just TOO F[intercourse]ING STUPID  to think up more than ONE valid Pathway to the Happy Place.

If I, a mere mortal, can think of several different Pathways from LEEDS to LONDON, does that indicate that I am more creative than the Creator?? (I think not).

Jesus said he was God's son, Almighty God said that Jesus was his son.

Jesus plainly stated that he was more than a good man. He said: I am God’s Son. John 10:36 Of course, anyone could claim to be the Son of God. But if Jesus’ claim were false, what would that make him? Really, not a good man, but a great fraud!

The most reliable testimony came from God himself. He twice said concerning Jesus: This is my Son. Matthew 3:17; 17:5 Just think: The Scriptures report only a few occasions when God’s own voice was heard on earth yet on two of them he affirmed Jesus as his Son!

This is by far the best proof that Jesus was who he said he was. Jesus never claimed to be God, but he repeatedly spoke of himself as God’s Son. Even his enemies acknowledged this.

Jesus never even suggested that he was God or was equal to him. So to teach such a thing dishonors Jesus.

He is God’s Son. Whereas his father is Almighty God.

I read that book and wasn't impressed. Full of contradictions. It's the 21st century now so time to move forward.
