Is this a valid argument against taxpayer funded abortion?

Years ago I had this friend who wanted me to be his designated driver. He wanted to go gambling, he wanted to get a fix and he wanted to get with a hooker. By the way, he was married. I told him no. I said to my friend, "hey man if that's what you want to do I can't stop you, but I sure as heck won't help you." On a couple later occasions my friend hit me up for money to buy booze and I flat out told him no. (On a side note needless to say we didn't remain friends much longer.)

I don't like kicking money down to anyone to support someone's drinking, drugging or gambling habits.

I'm against taxpayer funded abortion for the same reason.

In most cases it is an elective surgery, elective surgeries should not be covered by tax payers in my opinion. That is, unless it cross over into quality of life, then it should be covered. Abortion could then be argued that it is a quality of life issue, as in. Baby has a baby and two lives are now ruined, but that also is not always the case. Many a single mom have done a hell of job raising themselves as well as productive good kids.  Back and forth argument I guess, maybe there is no right answer.

Just think about who "Free" abortions will benefit most....

Not really a good argument as some may not want to pay for foreign wars or a wall.

Not paying for Abortions is one thing but the law has been stretched now to stop any group from discussing birth control, Pregnancy help, women's problems (health wise) because that group may also give women information about abortion or help them find a doctor or a RU486 or the morning after pill.

I agree.  Another thing that bugs me is the hypocrisy of those behind federal funding of abortion. These are the same people who say that women are smart, and capable of taking care of themselves, yet can't pay for their own abortions. Makes no sense.

Also, if they can get the federal government to pay for abortions, why can't they pass a law making feminine hygiene products a medical necessity, and exempting them from being taxed, as is the case with toilet paper?

I will be against taxpayer funded abortion the moment you are against taxpayer funded EDS treatments.

Pay for it yourself, don't expect me to pay it for you is a good argument too.
