Is going to school to be a medical doctor still worth it ?

    It's the only way to become a medical doctor, so yeah it still is.

    You can ask that question about absolutely any career path.  Ask yourself the following questions:  Is this something you want to do?  Are you willing to put forth the effort and expense to make it happen?  Are you capable of doing the school work necessary?  Are there going to be jobs in the area you want to live or are you willing to relocate to where the jobs do exist? 

    If the answer to any of those questions is no, then that pretty much answers your question.  If the answer to all of the questions is yes, then you have a valid career choice.

    I think it is. That's why I'm in medical school after a PhD. I'll make around ten times more money when I get my MD degree.
