RTV for gasket for gasoline engine?

Does RTV gasket withstand 2 stroke gasoline engine ?

Does RTV suitable to make gasket for carburator of 2 stroke engine generator ? it will need to be able to withstand heat , combustion and gasoline vapor.I need to make a gasket for between engine block between reed valve.

    That's what i meant to ask, RTV since it is silicon, it will not withstand gasoline. permatex ultra copper is also made of silicone, no idea is it worth the money.

    Use heavyweight paper (like a file folder) and cut it into the right shape - - then use a thin coat RTV on both sides of the gasket

    A sheet of gasket material is a couple bucks, just make one.  Or worst case, use a chunk of cereal box.

    I'd go to a lawn equipment shop and buy the right gasket. ebay also sells parts. The RTV will get in the reed valve and I doubt it would hold up anyway. If you're going to try using RTV buy the Permatex Ultra Copper. Auto parts stores carry it.
