    As many as you desire and are capable of. The recommended amounts of exercise to benefit general health for adults up to age 65 per the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is "At least 150 minutes a week of moderate intensity activity such as brisk walking" and "At least 2 days a week of activities that strengthen muscles".

    So, you could break up that 150 mins of recommended cardio for the week any way you want to, and of course may exceed that if you choose. Personally I run 3x a week, usually. Two days are 3 - 4 miles (5K or slightly more), and then a longer run that will vary depending on if I have any long distance events I'm training for or not. If not, then my longer run will typically be a 10K (6 miles) or less. If I'm training for a long distance run, the miles will depend on where I am in my training plan.
