What is the difference between the TAMA Starclassic Maple and the TAMA Walnut Birch series?
In terms of the finish, I find the finish is nicer on the Walnut Birch series, but in terms of sound, which one produces the nicest sound? I play a lot of hard rock/metal. Or, better yet, how does the Pearl Decade Maple series compare to these two Tama lines?

I'm pretty loyal to maple drums. I couldn't give you specifics about the sonic quality between them, but I just trust maple the most. I would be very hesitant to use their oak or beech lines.
