A friend of mine keeps asking me to go out and eat with her, but I'm not ready since Covid.  What should I tell her?

I've told her multiple times that my husband and I are not going out to restaurants right now because of the COVID virus.  She's pretty old, and I think she has the early signs of dementia, and therefore, keeps asking the same question week after week.  Should I just copy and paste my previous answer, or get more firm and say "Like I said the other half a dozen times you've asked me out, I appreciate the offer, but I'm not going out to restaurants right now due to COVID.  Please don't ask me again.  When I feel comfortable eating out again, I'll ask you."

If she has dementia the reason she keeps asking is because she doesn't remember she's already asked. Memory issues are a common symptom of dementia. I suggest keeping that in mind and being patient with her.
