Boyfriend going on a walk with his friend during COVID?

I’m planning on seeing my boyfriend next week during the pandemic and I’m pretty concerned about being cautious and not seeing anyone especially with the new variants present and u can get it easily. My boyfriend told me he’s going for a walk with his friend this week, who has been going to school in one area, and driving back and forth from place to place because he’s working somewhere while going to school somewhere else. I also know for a fact his friend has been seeing people, I’d say at least 10-13 people. My boyfriend says that he trusts his friend to be safe, and he says they’ll be wearing masks.

As soon as he told me this I was a bit angry because now I don’t know if I’m going to see him especially because of the variants and idk what his friend has been up to. But they’re going for a walk outside so is this ok? Or should I still not risk it?

amber -   I am sorry, but I would strongly suggest that you NOT see your boyfriend.   WHO is more important to him?:  You?  or his friend?

He was foolish enough to put himself at risk. I hope you won't be as foolish by getting around him now. Outdoors? Good, Masks? Also good, depending on their quality, distancing? Good. Risks reduced, but STILL there. We aren't going anywhere except grocery and are not seeing ANYONE.

If people were not taking needless risks we would already have got rid of the virus entirely.  So you know that on average people are taking too many risks but they don't believe it themselves. The safest thing is to walk outside and don't get too close.  Don't let them inside, don't get in a car with them.  But if your boyfriend is truly walking outside with a mask and not doing anything else then the risks are as low as can be made.

PS Rey, you are the reason the USA is in such trouble.  Your "facts" are total BS.  Those who permit OTHERS to take away their liberties and their freedoms and even their lives do not live in a free society. You are the one prepared to take away others right to walk outside in the fresh air.

If you are THIS concerned maybe you should consider not going?
