How fast am I going?

If I take a 1" spindle on a circular saw which rotates (very slowly I admit) once a second, then any point on it moves Pi x D inches per second.

Stick a 9" blade on it and the tip of any tooth moves 9 x Pi

 inches.

So, if I am standing on the earth and am 6 feet tall, is my head travelling a lot faster then my feet?

    yes, by a tiny amount.

radius of earth is 6.37e6 meters

if your head is 2 m above your feet, the change in speed is:

    2/6.37e6 = 0.00000031 or 0.000031 %

if your feet is moving at exactly 1,000 miles per hour, you head would be moving 1000.00031 mph.
