Why do you use dating sites?
If you can post your gender, sexual orientation and age then that'd be great. No worries if you don't feel comfortable with that though.
I'm curious at why people use dating sites. Whether it's just to feel validated, whether it's to have a hookup or one night stand, whether it's to simply chat and make friends or whether it's to find real love.

Clearly they feel a need to have a partner. Clearly they do not think the traditional places like clubs is where they will find anyone more than a one night stand. They fell that a dating site could deliver what they seek.

Majority of people are not interested in dating another guy, also when your eyes do meet with someone else a shyness can come over you.

I am a single man, living in a very remote place with few people at all, let alone single women. So, I am seeking someone online, hopefully for marriage. Online does have advantages, although about 85% of the women who contact me turn out to be fakes, and most of the rest are just playing games. However, when you do contact someone real, a lot of the "junk" that happens when first meeting can be eliminated before you even meet, which is pretty cool.
Oh; I am a straight 61-year old male, looking for a long term relationship. If that helps!
