    Yes, add more stars, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C. for example.

    Our modern day flag was adopted in 1960, so no it was not around during slavery.

    It has been changed.  There are more stars now than during the days of slavery.  It's really sad how white supremacists have tarnished the original Betsy Ross flag as symbol for when America kept blacks enslaved.
