2nd generation Airpods lifespan?

How long do they last if used basically everyday? Mine gave up after about 19 months of heavy use, was that average, good or bad amount of time? Already got another pair.

    My first gen ones lasted about three years of daily use, they died about the eighth time I accidentally put them in the laundry. No clue about the second generation, but I would think they’d do as well or better. I’m hoping my second gens will last longer if I can avoid putting them in the washer. Lol
