I accidentally applied for a credit card?
So im 17 and I got an email from capital one, my bank provider, about saying i could apply for their platinum Mastercard. I jokingly applied for it thinking that i would be instant declined but i instead got approved ?? My DOB was incorrect after i applied and I don't know what to do? Will it hurt me?

Thats fraud, its a felony.
And its not true, because when they checked your credit report they would have noticed the DOB discrepancy

You committed fraud and it was no accident. You lied on the application. If the card comes with an annual fee, you'd best pay it, then call the number on the card to ask how to cancel it before you dig yourself in any deeper. Now you'll have a certain amount of credit extended, so that will be noted your credit report. If your lie is discovered, your credit score will be hit, plus whatever legal remedies the card company decides to penalize you with.

Since you lied on the application, you will not have any protection if you cannot pay. Also, this can hurt your credit rating when it becomes known. It was a stupid thing to do. But you know that.

so it WASN'T an accident. you could be criminally charged with fraud. did you put your DOB in wrong or was it wrong on your account to begin with?
contact them, let them know and hopefully they will just close the card account and drop it.
what ever you d0..DO NOT use the card you fraudulently applied for.
