In Capitalism, prices and wages are determined by supply-and-demand

There is nothing fair about it. People working an easy deskjob do not deserve more than those who risk their bacon doing dirty jobs at ungodly hours

In some sense, jobs pay you in proportion to what you contribute to company profits.  Not everyone contributes equally.

    1)  Supply and demand.

    2)  Yes it's fair.

    3)  It's their employer's job to determine whether they deserve it or not.

    4)  Differently than what?  Whom?

I don't really care what someone else makes or whether they deserve it.   I care about what I make and whether I deserve it.

All who work should receive pay that reflects the value of their production.

If they don't work they deserve nothing (but will likely get handouts anyway).

Some people get higher salaries because of the greater value of the things they produce.
