My car sounds like a remote control car or something.  And the maintenance required light is on.?

I just got an oil change a few days ago.  What could be wrong with it?  I'll take it to the shop tomorrow.  I just thought I would see what Yahoo Answers says tonight.  Thanks.

What does a remote control car sound like?  I never heard one.

Year make and model.  Could be an exhaust leak or a transmission problem or a bad serpentine belt.   Good luck.

The shop can figure it out tomorrow.  I don't know what a remote control car sounds like.

I've got no clue what a remote control car sounds like and you didn't include the codes that are stored in the PCM. Go get the codes read. I'd certainly recommend checking the oil level on the dipstick before driving it anywhere.

The maintenance required light is usually triggered by mileage.  Normally, when you get an oil change, the shop resets the maintenance required mileage, when you hit say, 5000 miles, the light comes on to remind you to change the oil.  The "check engine" light is a little different, this is usually associated with a malfunction of some environmental aspect of the car.  It is not necessarily an emergency.  Often when it is reset, it won't come on again, because nothing is really wrong.  However, when you reset it and it comes back on, it indicates something is wrong.  Any auto parts store can read the code on the computer and reset the check engine light.  I usually record the code, reset, and see if it comes back on with the same code.  If this happens, it indicates a problem which needs attention.

The "sounds like a remote control car or something" is difficult to assess as a problem.  The maintenance light does not indicate a problem, it designates a maintenance ,mileage interval has been exceeded.  The "check engine" light could be a problem.  If the "check engine" light is not on, I doubt you have a problem.

Hope you checked your oil.  Check it before you drive to the shop. It could be that something is not getting lubricated the way it should .
