Why does Tim Tebow keep getting a chance at the MLB when he's not good?

So many other guys could be in his spot... Yet for some reason the Mets continue to bring him back... What is going on?

    Another example of white privilege

He wasn't any good at football either, in fact he was pretty abysmal. But he's a good marketing gimmick when you're trying to sell a bunch of cousin bangers from Alabama sports apparel.

I like Tebow and do not like those that attack him however the far right christian wingers go way to far the other way both sides grow up and relax .

he'll fill some seats in the stands.  that's it.  though there will be limited fans anyway if at all this year due to covid.  but their ratings might be higher.

The Mets get publicity from the name.

You sound upset that’s Mr. Tebow is a successful and a proud strong masculine Christian man.

I haven't played competitive baseball since junior high. I do still watch the sport though

and several friends in college got up to AAA - one might've even played against Tebow

in the SALLY - takes awhile to look through every box score sorry. On to your question:

    ------------------------

Part of is publicity. IMO other than a high number of strikeouts, he did reasonably well compared to peers at AA in 2018. The following year at AAA showed his weaknesses.

There was no minor league baseball in 2020, will be interesting to see how he does at

spring training or if as said before it's basically for publicity / marketing / selling tickets.

If thinking he sucks .. then why aren't YOU playing professionally in/at any sport/level?

It's amazing how some people attract so much hate.  if it's any consolation to you it's probably his last chance because of his age.  It's a harmless spring training invite.

He draws fans.  But if he ever makes it to the Bigs?  He'll have to earn his spot on the team.
