False..if people don't like me they don't like me. I'm not someone that'll go out of the way to please every single person because it's not worth the time.

A small part of the many things that matter to me does include the esteem of others.  It is a minor part and does not take priority over many, many other concerns.  It does exist just the same.  I think it does for every whether or not they admit it even to themselves.

I will also freely admit that if someone judges me negatively for what I think are bad reasons, I might go out of my way to be a dick to them, to show them how terrible I would truly be if I were actually like how they believe.  I cannot deny being spiteful on occasion.  Treat me like crap because of some imaginary idea of who I am?  Here, have some real crap.

As long as consent is a thing I think everyone cares what others think of us. Just my view.
