How can the United States get rid of it's national debt?

Stop spending money like a drunken Kardashian, might be one idea. 

It can't and it never will.

Why would they do that?

A balanced budget creates a surplus to reduce the debt. Clinton gave us a blueprint. Q: During the Clinton administration was the federal budget balanced? Was the federal deficit erased?

A good start would be bringing taxes back up closer to reasonable levels, which might also be good for the economy, considering that it tanked the last few times that taxes were cut.

Nationalize the Fed, like JFK was going to.

Tax the rich and corporations.

Tax more, spend less, pay the debt, and don't make more debt.

I get rid of debt by paying it.
