    The next monthly blue moon is August 2023.  The first full moon is Aug 1, the second in August is Aug 31.

    The blue moon in August 2021 is a SEASONAL blue moon (the third full moon in a season).

    full moons happen every 4 weeks

    so there's no way a second full moon in the same calendar-month is on the 22nd

    Blue moon is a name given to a second full moon for a given month.

    Also second, third, forth for a season.

    Aug 22 I believe is the next in line.

    seasonal Blue Moon will be August 22, 2021. AKA Sturgeon moon.

    Blue Moon =  Second Full Moon in a month.  That will be on Aug 22nd 2021.
